Band Not Splitting (again)

James (the webmaster of the official site) has posted a message stating that the band will not be splitting and if they ever did it would be announced via the messageboard! He was forced to do this after this posting turned up on the official web site claiming that the lads were going to disband after the December tour.

Yet again this is another example of the problems caused by the messageboard system being used on the official site - there's no way for official messages to be told apart from unofficial posts. There have also been a number of spam and ridiculous racist postings appearing over the last few months...hopefully this will encourage the powers that be to investigate the purchase of a more fully featured message system (for example ubb, vbulletin or one of the numerous open source systems)

Anyway, enough of my rant - here's the full text of James' posting:

DEAR EVERYONE,
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO CONFIRM THAT THE MESSAGE POSTED BY "MARK M", IS NOT MR.MORRISS HIMSELF, RATHER, JUST A NO GOOD WISE ASS.

HE POPPED IN THE OTHER DAY AND IS REAL EXCITED ABOUT THE STUFF THEY ARE GOING TO RELEASE NEXT YEAR.

Hi all Just writing to send you all my love and say thank you so so so much for the support these last 5 years. I am writing to tell you all before we release a statement that apart from a farewell gig in the spring, this christmas tour will be the last tour we embark upon. The Bluetones have reached a point where we can improve no more, and having had the times of our lives these last few years, all good things have to end. So, make sure you're all there on tour this winter, and sing as loud as you can. You can see the full statement at the weekend.
